| Trip - Baltimore FF Distant Worlds Concert |

So Bobby, Allison, and I went to the FF Distant Worlds Concert, and it was really really good.
A few too many FFVIII songs, but I can't really blame them for it, since it is famous for it's overwhelming amount of cutscenes and music.
The drive up was terrible. We went from 95 to 1 to 95 to 1 and just back and forth. Then we got lost for a while because GPS systems are just bad sometimes, and finally made it to Baltimore around 7:20. The concert started at 8.
Apparently, sub places close at 5. I mean really. Quiznos closes at 5 on a Saturday. What is that? So we went to 7-11 and got some terrible food instead.
The opening was Liberi Fatali. Great choice. Something was weird about how the sound was getting to us, because we were at the side of the room behind the lower strings, but it was still good.
They did the FF6 Opera. The whole thing. The WHOLE thing. The game cuts off because you invade the show, but there's a WHOLE version, lyrics and all.
One-Winged Angel wasn't on the program. So we're all sitting there like, "There's no way... right?" Then they did it for the encore and the auditorium exploded. They even broke out the Advent Children footage for it. It was win. Epic win. Pure epic win.
If anything, the concert was just too short.
And I need to redo my FFVII icon.

I've hardly posted. It's not that nothing's been going on, but I never bothered to post. I got lazy again I guess.
Let's see...
WoW: When Ulduar first came out, we blitzed 10 man and pulled a 10 hour raid night to finish the instance. Kind of crazy, but it was sooo much fun somehow. Right now, the guild is going through a tight spot, but hopefully it will pull through. We haven't really made much progress on hard modes yet, but hopefully we can fill in the missing spots on our roster and start claiming server firsts again. Or at least alliance firsts.
School: It's over, it's done. The final project for Japanese was to write about something we thought was weird in Japan, then give a 10 min speech about it. It was actually kind of nerve wracking. I wrote about Japanese consumer culture. A lot of interesting things came up, actually. Anthropology kinda kicked my butt, but I took it pass/fail and passed. I did actually try for my Comparative Politics class, and ended up with an A-, most likely because of my essays rather than my tests (which got curved up thank goodness). Translation. Yeah. I translated 40 pages of the first book of xxxHolic. It was fun. Then again, it probably wasn't what my professor was looking for, but it was the only thing I could bring myself to sit down and translate. Somewhere deep down I still think I got nothing of consequence out of that class.
Graduation: Zach flew over for my graduation since he finished school in March. We hung out, watched anime, watched movies, went on a picnic (torikatsu strips and potato katsu, yum!), made dinner, hung out with people, played WoW a bit, and yeah... it was fun. I have pictures, but they don't technically exist.
Miranda's Wedding: 2 days after I came home, I went down to Florida for Miranda's wedding. It was a lot of fun, though super humid, and I really had a good time. Lots of beach. Lots of food. Bobby made happinesses on a bun (hamburgers).
Now: I'm searching for a job. It's kinda hard, but I'm working on it.

So in this, I don't remember the specifics, but I've been captured by this group of people, and kept locked in some room all day. I remember getting rescued, but then I have to go back, and am given an orb and a cloak, so when my friends attack, I can use the orb to distract the enemy, and then the cloak to disappear so I can go back to the other side and fight. A little different from, "Here's a disguise to get information," but I guess it's too much like the Zul'Drak quests to be original.
I'm applying for a Quest Developer job, so I guess this is what happens.

This one happened to be really interesting, so I might make a story out of it.
So there's like an army platoon in this underground area, and they have a pretty large base. There's something weird going on, like a sickness, and some people are getting sick and the water is tainted and everything, so some search groups are sent out.
Anyway, this one girl goes out and the water suddenly starts to shine with a yellow light, and instantly clears up. Then this guy (the medic I guess) finds her and picks a seed off her clothing, sprouts wings, and whisks her back to the base so she doesn't get sick. Or something like that.
It was a lot cooler than I'm making it sound. Especially the flying. Also, his feathers made up walls that protected the area from the sickness.

So I finally updated my LJ client, and liking it very much. Usually I hate changing programs that do the same thing (switching from Winamp to VLC was a nightmare).
I need to update my WoW icon, since Shal is no longer (and has never been anyway) in Tier 5 (it's just the coolest armor set for the priest they ever made after Transcendence, which I never got until level 70), and is now sporting 4/5 Tier 7.5 after getting rid of her full Tier 6 and non-terrible Sunwell pants. Also, the idea of Meikai doesn't really exist anymore since Clarity is long gone, but we still use the name so whatever. Jack is with John on Illidan (kinda sorta not really, probably both of them quit by now), so it's just Zach and I chatting it up in blue. Also, I think Zach would be very upset to see himself in such terribad gear.
Anyway, I dreamed last night of a new dungeon in WoW. I didn't really dream up any bosses but the last one, but I didn't really finish dreaming up the final boss either, just some of the logistics and retarded strategy points. So the dungeon is like a big mountain. It's kind of like a hive, it's got a lot of tunnels, and sometimes you need your flying mount to fly up into and down the tunnels. So the final boss is up one of these tunnels, and I got lost and my guild was like, "You know if you use the necklace we gave you earlier, you can port up here," and I'm like, "Uhh I banked it."
So the final boss is kind of weird. You split into 3 parties: ground forces, air forces, and then something I can't remember, probably healers. The ground forces mount these alien things on 2 legs with spears, and the air forces mount these other things that spit fireballs. So the air forces have to fly up around the mountain and find cracks in the mountain to spit fireballs into, and I guess I was on an air alien.
And then the whole place turned into a restaurant and I was ordering steak strips to fly on the air thingy to beat the boss ><. And there were kids riding F150s. Then I woke up.

So. Monday, Kendall and I had quite the adventure. We left the house around 10:15 and started a 2 hour drive toward Centreville, VA to visit Spa World (www.spaworldusa.com).
It is amazing. We got some Italian subs first (with calamari!), though. Anyway, you pay $35, put your shoes in a box, get a cool key, and go to the back with your uniform. There are 2 main rooms, the bade pool room (gender separated) and the poultice rooms (co-ed). You can stay as long as you want (even overnight!). The pool is just awesome. There are all these little areas each with different types of jets that focus on different parts of your body, so it's really awesome. When you're tired of that, you can go to the poultice rooms. There are a bunch of different kinds all made out of different minerals, so they each have different effects on your body.
Massages and scrubs and haircuts are separate costs, but you can get those done too.
Afterward, we drove to Kendall's cousin's house where we enjoyed a nice dinner and talking about WoW and anime. Then we went back to Fairfax to meet Wolfinhowler (Brandy) and Rudy and one of their friends. I'm so glad I finally got to meet them. It's been ages since we tried setting up the first meeting (that failed).
Lots of fun, althought we did get back at 2 am.

So I'm a student at some very very large school and I am taking some class that involves a computer lab, but I don't really remember what it is. Anyway, I'm an upperclassman, and there's this big assembly with an arena in the middle.
Zach and I are our mage and priest, but I'm holy, and we get paired against a holy priest/feral druid. So anyway, it goes on and on and the druid d/cs and we still can't kill the priest, but it comes out as a draw, and these four really large men get put in the arena with us and we have to fight them. So we end up defeating 2 of them, but we can't defeat the other 2 and lose.
Then I go back to class. There were some really stuck up people, like the daughter of the superintendent or something. Then there was someone named Jim, but I don't remember much of that.

| Dream - Battle of the Bands and the Strange Aquarium |

I could make short stories out of my dreams at this rate.
So I was at this... I don't know what it was. Maybe someone's very large apartment? So there was battle of the bands going on, or at least something like it, and I think I knew 3 people who were performing in different bands, but the only one I remembered was David. I came in as he was starting to set up and he was like, "You'd better come watch," so I said I would try, and then he got mad or something like that. In any case, there were a lot of shiny lights and it was fun.
I woke up at like 8 and went back to sleep.
So I was at an aquarium with 2 friends, but this aquarium is weird. Once a week, they would have this adults-only event where you could come in and cook seafood and eat it at this big picnic. Creepy. On other days, they had large animals that you could bring around as pets, like seals and stuff. I think I had a dream in a similar place before. There's a big locker room and a deep pool on the roof where you can go swim.
Such is my weird brain.

I don't really feel any different. When I was in Japan, I turned 20, which is the legal age there, so it's just happening all over again.
My parents sent me a chocolate strawberry bouquet. But I have to wait till Zach gets here to eat them.
On the dark side, I have a lot of work.

I don't have a lot of these, but I guess I have these phases of tossing in my sleep, and I've hit one of those now. Every now and then I'll wake up to find my sheets completely out of place. Most of the time I wake up the same way that I've gone to sleep. In any case, I feel like I slept, but I also feel like I was up most of the night. I can remember tossing and turning and stuff. As such, I had this really weird dream.
I think I've been watching too much Kyou Kara Maou, and as such have not been able to get any work done which I need to get done or Zach's going to have a wasted trip out here. Anyway, I had this dream about how there was this world, and all the kings of the different countries were lost and not in their countries, and it was having this advers affect on the environment and economy and everything. I don't really know how to describe it, it wa a really weird feeling. I have a feeling it had to do something with Kyou Kara Maou, but I can't really remember. All I remember was that I was going different places and that I was kind of awake and kind of asleep at the same time.
As such, I couldn't get up early to finish my paper rewrite because I was exhausted.

So I voted... at 7:10 this morning.
I'm glad I voted.
I was up at 5:30, got to the polls at 5:45, and stood in line for over an hour. It's crazy out there. Usually the lines aren't nearly as long, but I guess it goes to show how important this election is.
Sleep...

I know I haven't posted in forever, and I'll do some long update post eventually, but because I'm really lazy, I'm not going to do it now, but there is a lot of stuff that happened (kinda sorta).
So I've been having a lot of strange dreams, but I don't really remember them anymore.
Last night I had a dream that my roommates were tired of living in the apartment (though it was smaller and more unclean than it currently is now), so they both moved out, or at least one of them did. I vaguely remember something about a rocket ship, but I can't remember if that was me daydreaming in class or part of my dream.
My brain is in that state of it feels like I haven't shut it off in ages. Kinda weird, but I just feel braindead all the time. Maybe it has something to do with my terrible KJ performance recently. Bleh. KJ needs to die this week.
